KiliSummit coordinates one of Tanzania's only locally guided paragliding programs — from an accessible tandem flight over the foothills, to the extraordinary summit-launch expedition for licensed pilots. Every flight is run with certified aerial partners, full KINAPA / TANAPA / Civil Aviation permitting, weather-tracked launch windows, and our own mountain crew supporting logistics to altitude.

Climb the Lemosho route to Stella Point / Uhuru Peak, then launch your own certified wing from near the crater rim and fly all the way down to Moshi. Tandem Summit Descent Flight

The full summit climb, then fly down tandem with a certified instructor instead of walking off. You don't need a pilot's licence — but you do need to be a seasoned tandem passenger (five or more prior tandem flights) so the launch at altitude is calm and predictable. The summit, plus the descent of a lifetime.

We track launch windows closely and build flexibility into every program — if the wind or cloud isn't right on the day, we shift to the next safe window rather than risk it. That's not a cancellation, it's the professionalism that makes a summit launch possible at all. We'll talk you through how the windowing works before you commit.

The tandem foothill flight is built for first-timers. Here's the whole morning — no climbing, no training course, no experience to prove. Just you, a pilot, and a ridge.

Pickup & drive to the ridge

We collect you in Moshi and drive out to the western launch site.

Briefing & harness up

A plain-English briefing, then your pilot straps you into the tandem harness.

A few steps, then you're flying

Run with the pilot off the ridge — the wing lifts you both, gently.

The glide

Sit back over the farms and forest with Kilimanjaro in view. Your pilot does the rest.

Soft landing & drive home
